4. – 8. November 2008 China International Industry Fair (CIIF) is a grand large-scale world industrial expo. It is approved by the State Council, jointly organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information Industry, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, co-organized by China Machinery Industry Federation and managed by Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd. “Scientific Innovation and Equipment Manufacturing” is the theme of CIIF, which intensifies the four major functions of “trade, exhibition, assessment and forum” while treats trade as a core function. CIIF extends its scale to 110,000 square meters, attracts more specialized exhibits, sets seven specialized show, including Key Technology & Equipment Show, Information Technology and Equipment Show, Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show, Industrial Automation Show, Energy Show, Environmental Protection Technology & Equipment Show, and Scientific & Technological Innovation Show.
